Thanks ladies for all the tags. :P Hehe. So now I guess I have to do it. LOL. :P JK!

Rules First:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
4. Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
5. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
6. non-important things about me:

So these aren't facts I would label non-important... but they're facts about me... so yeah. Ha.

1.) I smoke cigarettes, I drink (not as frequently as I use to), etc. I have alot of bad habits & I don't really take care of myself. LOL. :P I am no party girl, not at all! But I have a lot of vices & bad habits. Hey, I never said I was perfect. Frankly, no one's perfect & I think sometimes people lose sight of that. I should stop though cause I know it's gonna catch up to me when I get older. =X

2.) I play video games (not as much as I use to) & I'm some sort of weird hybrid between a girly girl & a tomboy. So I guess that makes me... normal? Haha. What is normal anyway? (I can't find a picture for this, it's on my bf's laptop. LOL.)

3.) Family is #1 for me. Oddly enough, I confide in my mother & aunt more so than some of my closest friends & sometimes even my boyfriend. I do this for a few reasons... they have years of knowledge to back their advice, they never judge me, & I trust them like no other.

4.) I have 4 siblings. 3 brothers & one baby sis. I'm the oldest & I got the worst of it growing up. That ain't a lie either cause my mom even says so. LOL.

5. I've been with my mr. man for 4 years and some months now. He was actually my friend for a few years before I got with him & he was someone who'd always listen to me vent when my ex was acting all kinds of crazy. Ha. Anywho, I love my mr. man thee best.

6. I LOVE food. I eat like no other and I enjoy food SO MUCH. The more unhealthy it is, the better. I know some of you might be thinking "GROSS!" but I kid you not I love me my food. Haha. Deep fried, sugary, sweet, greasy. Some things I love: Tempura ice cream, Steak, Carne Asada Super Fries, Chinese Fried Pork Chops with Spicy Salt, Egg Custard, Sushi (not really unhealthy, but I LOVE it), Carnitas, Fried Chicken, Deep Fried Twinkies, Pies... pretty much I'm a meat & potatoes type of gal and I'm not so much into candy but I LOVEEEE pastries. mmMmmm... I'm hungry now. Haha. Ask anyone who knows me... I can GRUB. Ha. :P

Grubbin' on a BLT with chips @ 3 in the morning during my babes & I 4 year anniversary cruise. =]

I tag anyone who wants to do this... this tag has gotten around quite a bit already so everyone's been tagged. But if you haven't yet, feel free to share! :D

SHE'S the reason I'll be buying some Kryolan stuff...

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

with my next paycheck. Haha! :P

I think she's pretty well known but I've just recently stumbled upon her. :P Her online name is, "Shrinkle" & I love LOVE love this last look she did on the Eyeshadow Sluts LJ community.

Again, that's SHRINKLE's look. I just linked one picture to show you guys which specific look I saw that led me to discover her. :P Anywho, I fell in love with how damn vibrant the colors were, I also love the color combo & how she threw it all together. :)

She used all Kryolan products so guess what I'm getting next pay period. You're damn right, Kryolan stuff. Haha.

What's up with me and stage makeup lately? If I do buy some Kryolan stuff, I will have two diff brands of stage makeup in my collection. I'd have some Kryolan products & some Mehron Products. The only brand I'm missing that's also quite famous is Ben Nye. I have yet to get anything from that brand... but you never know... maybe later. Haha. I have yet to see something that undoubtedly sells me to get some Ben Nye stuff. Yes, I'm the type of person that has to be sold... well, to an extent. For instance if I see an AWESOME AWESOME look & find out they achieved that look using a certain product, I'll probably buy the product. What a sucker, I know. LOL. :P

So there's a Kryolan store up in San Fran... which totally sucks because I live in so-cal... that's about a 6 or 8 hour drive away. Haha. Bri's sister lives up north though so if we go up there to visit or something maybe we can stop by the store. Hehe! That would be awesome. :P Guess for now I'll have to order it online. BOO.

FOTD: Smokey Eyes

Sunday, October 26, 2008

My ULTIMATE favorite look is and always will be SMOKEY EYES. :) When I first got into makeup that's the first look I learned on myself. To be honest with you, that's my favorite look on me, personally. :P I didn't get a chance to get a close-up of my eyes but I hope it's still clear in the pictures that I did take. :P Enjoy! :D

What I Used
Face:
Buff'd Mineral Foundation in the Concealing Formula in "Buff"
NYX Jar Concealer in "Beige" (on blemishes)

Cheeks:
MAC Beauty Powder in "Melba"

Eyes:
Physician's Formula Gentle Cream Concealer in "Yellow" (under eyes)
TFSI
Golden Beige Color from Jesse's Girl Bejeweled Palette #2 (highlight on inner v of eye & color applied on inner half of upper eyelid)
Medium Dark Brown from Jesse's Girl Bejeweled Palette #2 (on outer half of upper eyelid)
Shimmery Black from Sleek i-Divine Palette in "Original" (in outer V & on outer 2/3 of lower lash line)
Frosty White Color from Jesse's Girl Bejeweled Palette #3 (highlight under brow)
Jane be pure mineral gel liner in "black" (on upper lash line, outer 2/3 of lower lashline, & waterline)
Covergirl's Lash Blast Waterproof Mascara in "Blackest Black" (on upper & lower lashes)
L'Oreal Waterproof Voluminous Mascara in "Black" (on upper lashes)

Lips:
NYX Lip Pencil in "Chestnut" (applied lightly)
NYX Megashine Lipgloss in "Natural"

I knew there was a reason I kept my hair black, it's because I LOVE the contrast it gives when I wear colored contacts... ESPECIALLY my grey ones. :P Hehe. :D

I picked up MAC's Stuido Finish Concealer today. I got matched for it by the MUA since I was afraid of goofing up & that's their job anyway. :P Hehe. She was nice & helpful though. Turns out I'm an NC30 & she picked awesomely because it blends right into my skin... like literally disappears... VERY awesome. I also swatched the Studiofix Foundations on the back of my hand just to see what shade I would be for reference & seems I'd be an NC30 in the foundation as well. NC35 was a tad dark but I COULD pull it off if I wanted too, but I'd notice the difference in shades & well that would just bother me. Haha. If I got more of a tan this summer I would def be an NC35 though. :P So yeah, guess I'll be testing out the concealer this week. Let's hope it works out for me! :P Heh.

Metal Gear Solid Secret Camo Mask & Video Games

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

So my bf wants to be Naked Snake for halloween & wanted it to look as legit as possible. :P For those of you who don't know, Naked Snake is one of the main characters in a video game series called "Metal Gear", he's a main character in some of the "Metal Gear Solid" games but he's not the main one. The main one in the "Metal Gear Solid" series is none other than "Solid Snake" hence "Metal Gear SOLID". LOL! So there, I've spilled the beans, I know a thing or two about some video games. Why?

Because I grew up with all brothers, I was a tomboy as a kid, & my boyfriends (past & present) have all loved video games. Yes, I've played video games. I haven't played one in a long while, I believe the last one I played was the last metal gear solid which was AWESOME btw... however, I didn't beat it. LOL. I got distracted with work & such... also WoW (World of Warcraft). Hahaha.

My fave console genre? Scary games! :D I love the Resident Evil & Silent Hill series. Don't be a noob & say Silent Hill was a movie because the movie was based off of the 3 games that preceeded the movie. Haha. :) I've beat the first 3 Silent Hill games & the first two Resident Evil Games along with one of the chained Resident Evil Games called, "Code Veronica".

I also use to play Gunbound which is why my brother buys me all kinds of turtle type things because my favorite "vehicle" in that game was a turtle. Ha. :)

I also love stupid games that are vulgar, pointless, & just plain fun. To name a few: GTA (Grand Theft Auto) I beat the first three & haven't beat the newer ones & Burnout (perfect for those who harvest alot of road rage, like myself.) Haha!

A few others that were some faves of mine were Capcom VS. SNK on the playstation (I SO pwned in that game back in the day), Dr. Mario on the Nintendo, Mortal Kombat on the Sega Genesis, Sonic The Hedgehog on Sega Genesis, Tetris on the Super Nintendo, ALL of the Super Marios on the earlier consoles (i.e. N64, Super Nintendo, Nintendo), Bust-A-Groove on Playstation, Kingdom Hearts on Playstation 2, etc, etc.

I prefer console games to computer games though... I always have & I don't know why. Haha. :P The only computer games that I REALLY played were Counterstrike, Gunbound, & now WoW. Hahaha.

Who'd a thought, huh? I always love the reaction I get from guys when they start chattin' up about a game/series I like & I can actually hold up my own in the conversation. That's what's up.

For those of you who don't really know me just to give you an inkling on the type of person I am... I like girly stuff... makeup, clothes, shopping, & all those other normal girlie things. But... I can somewhat be guyish in certain ways. I curse like a sailor (no joke), I chill like one of the guys (most of my friends are dudes), my homeboys (yes, i just said homeboys) say I sock like a dude (they should know, I'm pounding on them all of the time. they're always all bruised up. hahahaha!), & there are just certain things about me that are not so girly... so I've been told... like actually playing "real" video games. Games that aren't labeled "real" video games by a gamers/nerds standards so I've been told by my nerdy bros & bf are games like "Guitar Hero" & "Dance Dance Revolution".

Anywho, this turned into such a random post. Haha. Probably no one will be interested in this or just think I'm super gay. Haha. I know there are other girls out there who play video games but most of them play computer games & like I said... I'm a console type of girl. Lame! Someone talk console games with me! Haha. JK, JK!

Anywho, if anyone's seen or played MGS:3 Snake Eater you'll know that "Naked Snake" has a secret Camo Mask in the game that you can unlock. It looks like a skull. The bf wanted to be naked snake & asked me to use my Mehron Palette on him to emulate the Skull Mask. So I did. I had a crappy picture to work with & this was done as a trial to figure out how to do it PROPERLY on halloween. Ha. :P So, without further ado, here's Bri wearing Naked Snake's Skull Camo. Haha!

Things I learned from this trial. I need to use my thinnest taklon liner brush to do his lips... it came out WAY too messy & thick. I need to refine the edges of the black shading a little better because they didn't come out as crisp or clean as I wanted, I may also have to use my taklon liner brush to help refine the edges. I also need to set the black sections with black matte eyeshadow because it'll give it a nicer/more opaque finish. So now I have a better idea of what to do next time, which was the whole point of the trial run. Ha. BTW... his nose was sorta hard to do because he has a TOTALLY different nose from the person below. Haha! Oh, and he shoulda pulled the headband down a little lower... it's like right above her eyes. Ha.

Here's a picture of an AWESOME cosplay of Naked Snake & it's a GIRL btw... she did her Camo Paint PERFECTLY... then again she's a pro cosplayer... this was my first shot at it. Haha.

Hopefully I perfect it by Halloween & I'll be able to post up a cleaner/cripser/fine tuned version of this previous trial. Ha. :P

Okay enough boring not really beauty stuff. Haha! :) Hey, at least you know me a little better now. :P

FOTD: Neglected Colors & Products

Sunday, October 19, 2008

I did an FOTD today using products & colors that I've been neglecting lately. :) Don't you start feeling guilty when you notice you've been neglecting certain items or products in your makeup collection? :P Well I did, so I showed them some love today. LOL. :D Hope you guys like it. XD

What I Used
Face:
Adorned With Grace Minerals Divine Oil-Control Primer
Adorned With Grace Minerals Foundation in "Grace 4.0"
NYX Pot Concealer in "Beige" (blemishes)
Physician's Formula Gentle Cream Concealer in "Yellow" (under eyes)
MAC Blush in "Harmony"

Cheeks:
Silk Naturals Blush in "Babydoll"

Lips:
MAC Lipstick in "Blankety"
NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in "Taupe"

Eyes:
UDPP (first base)
MAC Paint Pot in "Painterly" (second base)
Lime Green color from the Mehron Paradise AQ Palette in "Pastel" (color base)
Adorned With Grace Minerals Pigment in "Sunshine Lime" (all over lid)
Simply Naturals Pigment in "Caribbean" (above crease & smudged on lower lash line)
Black eyeshadow from my Sleek i-Divine Palette in "Chaos" (in outer V)
Light Golden Beige eyeshadow from Jesse's Girl Bejeweled "Palette #2"
Milani Color Brilliance Pencil in "Aqua" (on waterline & lower lash line)
Milani Color Brilliance Pencil in "Black" (on upper lash line)
Covergirl's Lash Blast Waterproof Mascara in "Blackest Black"
NYX False Eyelashes in "???" (i forget the name or number. :P)

That's all! :P I actually ended up liking this look... which is kinda cool cause I threw this look together last minute. Ha. :P

The products I've been neglecting lately are my Milani Color Brilliance Pencils, my loose mineral pigments, my loose mineral blushes, & my nude lipsticks & lipglosses.

I've also noticed that I've been neglecting the color green lately. :P I've been doing lots of neutrals, purples.... things of that sort. I've even managed to sneak a blue look in, in one of my recent haul vids (my mehron haul vid) & green hasn't been getting any lovin' from me. More specifically... lime green. I always neglect lime green & I have no idea why. :P Hehe.

I think it'd be cool if other people did an FOTD and/or FOTN using products that they've been neglecting lately! :D It'd be a great way to show those forgotten products some love! Who's with me?! Haha. ;D

Haul: Paint Cosmetics *NEW* Pressed Pigments

Saturday, October 18, 2008

Hello, hello. :) So I used up the rest of my gift certificate for Paint Cosmetics (previously named Electric Cosmetics) on their new pressed pigments. :) It was on sale for the first three days after it's release so I figured why not use up the rest of my gift certificate on a few of their new products. :D

Here are pictures of all 5 of their new pressed mineral pigments in their compacts.

Here are swatches of all 5 of the pressed mineral pigments.
Swatches were applied DRY without a base using a regular eyeshadow brush

Yes, I swatched "Savvy" twice... I don't know why. Ha. :P

A picture of the ingredients list

Anywho, there is 4 teaspoons worth of product pressed into each of these compacts. If you're wondering how big the compacts are, their diameter is very big, definitely significantly bigger than the diameter of a MAC or NYX eye shadow. But the depth of the pans aren't all that deep, so I'm guessing that you get a little more product from this eyeshadow versus a MAC eyeshadow or NYX eyeshadow. Note that I said a little, and not a whole lot.

The colors are gorgeously pigmented as you can see from the swatches, even without a base. I imagine they'd be even more vibrant & pigmented used over a base.

I got these eyeshadows for free since I used a gift certificate, and I'm glad I did because a couple of the colors seem VERY similar to some mineral pigments that I've already pressed myself. For instance, "Barot" is similar to my pressed TKB Trading pigment in "Blueberry POP!" & "Canary" is similar to my pressed TKB Trading pigment in "Lemon Drop POP!". With that said, "Rustic", "Disco", & "Savvy" are unique shades that I would probably repurchase. "Rustic" is a rust shade that is very similar to NYX's Single Eyeshadow in "Rust", which makes sense because they're both rust shades. :P Hehe. "Disco" is an awesome orange red color & "Savvy" is an awesome teal that is more so green than blue.

"Savvy" & "Disco" have satin finishes while "Barot", "Canary", & "Rust" have more of a shimmery finish.

Overall, very pretty colors but I think I can skip a couple of them next time since I have colors that are VERY similar to them already.

Colors that I would recommend looking into if you're interested are: "Rustic", "Savvy", & "Disco"

Also keep in mind that you probably won't like these eyeshadows if you don't like bright colors because they're VERY vibrant. :P

Anywho, that's all really. Guess I'll be off, bye! :)

Tagged: Your TOP 5 Mineral Makeup Companies

Wednesday, October 15, 2008

Wow... well this is a hard one for me. LOL. :P So Whiterz had this on her blog & she tagged everyone so here's my top 5. This is kinda short... I wish it were a top 10. Haha! :) If you want to see online stores that I frequent alot, I have them linked at the very bottom of the left column. :P

Tell everyone your TOP 5 Mineral Makeup Companies, that you just can't get enough of!!

I.E.: Which ones do you shop at the most? What do you love most about them? Which company has your PERFECT foundation shade? Which is the most affordable, etc.?

1. Buff'd - Everyone KNOWS this is where you can find ONE of my HG Foundations. :) LOVE IT.
2. Adorned With Grace Minerals - The passion she has for formulating her products is amazing & it shows through her quality products. I ESPECIALLY love her oil-control primer, blushes, & foundies. ;) This is where my second HG foundie can be found. :)
3. TKB Trading - The cheapest pigments ANYWHERE & they have a HUGE selection!
4. The She Space - Heather has some of the most unique pigment colors anywhere! LOVE her pigments. :D
5. Simply Naturals - The SECOND cheapest mineral pigments anywhere, plus they have a good selection of matte colors which is super hard to find as far as mineral pigments go. :P

I tag anyone who wants to do it! If you're an avid user of minerals & mineral based products, please do share your top 5... can't get enough minerals, now can I? Haha. :D

FOTD: Work Friendly Natural Look

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Yayuh! I'm on a FOTD roll... well, so far. Haha. I'm not sure how long this will last. Haha! So here's the look I wore to work today. :) I actually liked it, and I'm usually not a fan of how "toned down" makeup looks on me. Haha. :P It's really easy to do too. :) Anywho, hope you guys enjoy it! :D

These first two pics were taken at the start of the day, so my make-up is freshly applied here. I love that matte airbrushed look. :)

This pic was taken at the end of the day, after work. :P You can tell, since my under eye baggage is starting to peek through a bit. Haha! :D

What I Used
Face:
Adorned With Grace Minerals Divine Oil-Control Primer Powder
Buff'd Mineral Foundation Original Formula in "Buff"
NYX Pot Concealer in "Beige" (on blemishes)
Physician's Formula Gentle Cream Concealer in "Yellow" (under eyes)
MAC Blush in "Harmony" (contour for the whole face)

Cheeks:
MAC Blush in "Melba"

Lips:
Rosebud Strawberry Lip Salve
NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in "Natural"

Eyes:
TFSI
Jesse's Girl Bejeweled Palette #2
Dark Brown color (outer corner of lower lash line)
Light golden beige color (highlight on inner v & under brow)
Medium Light Copper Brown color (all over lid color)
Indelible Gel Liner in "Blackout" (on upper lash line only)
Covergirl Lash Blast Waterproof Mascara in "Blackest Black" (on upper & lower lashes)
MAC Plushlash Mascara in "Black" (on upper lash line)
Ardell False Eyelashes in "Babies" (on upper lash line)

Jesse's Girl Bejeweled Palette #2 is HANDS DOWN my favorite out of the four. :) The colors are just so neutral and easy to work with when you're feeling lazy. Haha. :P

Notice how the second lightest color from the palette (the color I used as my all over my lid color) is similar to my skin tone, it's VERY subtle but noticeable enough to add some sort of
dimension. LOVE IT! Haha.

Also take notice of the fact that I don't look like an oil slick in the second picture! I usually would, but the Adorned With Grace Divine Oil-Control Powder Primer is doing it's job! LOVE IT! :) I'm definitely gonna get a full size of this, the one I'm using right now is just a sample. :P Oh if you want to know how I normally look at the end of the day without a primer, refer to my profile picture up in the left hand corner of this page. Yeah, not cute. Haha.

I think this is the first neutral look I've done that I actually like. o_0

So this look is labeled "office appropriate" for those of you who were asking for one. :)

FOTD: Pleasantly Purple

Monday, October 13, 2008

Here's an FOTD for you guys. :) This is the look I wore today, it's VERY purple based. Haha. Don't ask why... for some reason I was feeling very purpely today. Haha. :) Hope you enjoy it.

I really don't like how I did my lashes today. Haha. Oh well, better luck next time eh? Hahaha! :D I SERIOUSLY need to invest in a metal lash comb because clean spoolies & plastic lash combs don't quite do it for me. I must have brushed out my lashes like 3 times today just to get rid of it! Haha. That was only 2 coats of lash blast & one coat of plush lash too! meh. :P

WHAT I USED
FACE:
Adorned With Grace Minerals Foundation in "Grace" 4.2 (it's slightly too dark in person. my match right now is 4.0)
Physician's Formula Gentle Cream Concealer (under eyes)
NYX Pot Concealer in "Beige" (on blemishes)

CHEEKS:
La Femme Blush on Rouge in "Mulberry"
MAC Blush in "Harmony" (contour on face)

LIPS:
MAC Lipstick in "Up The Amp"
NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in "Smokey Look"

EYES:
UDPP
Pressed Mineral Pigment from TKB Trading in "Love Song" (all over lid)
Pressed Mineral Pigment in a Custom Color = Deep Neutral Purple (outer V)
Pressed Mineral Pigment from TKB Trading in "Pure Purple" (in & above crease)
Pressed Mineral Pigment in "Grape POP!" (on outer corner of lower lashline)
Pressed Mineral Pigment in "Midnight Train" (on outer corner of lower lashline)
Golden Beige Eyeshadow from Jesse's Girl Bejeweled Palette #2 (highlight on inner v & under brow)
Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil in "Pure White" (on water line)
Indelible Gel Liner in "Blackout" (on upper lash line)
Cover Girl Lash Blast Waterproof Mascara in "Blackest Black" (on top lashes)
MAC Plush Lash Mascara in "Black" (on top & bottom lashes)

I'm still trying to figure out what I should be for halloween. I'm stuck. Blah. This sucks. Haha. Plus, I still gotta find a good halloween party to go to... so meh. Haha. :P

My bf is going to be naked snake for halloween and we usually match so I have to be something that sorta relates. I was going to be Eva and/or Tatiana but I'm not really feeling her fits. :P I think I'm just going to end up being some random army chick... not sure yet though. LOL. Any suggestions for a good halloween costume to match?

Adorned With Grace Minerals Open For Business! :)

Thursday, October 9, 2008

I was a tester for Franchesca's test group on Yahoo so I've been able to try some of her products and I can vouch that she definitely has some AWESOME products! :)

Franchesca has officially opened up an online store that is now open to the public! :)

My personal faves are her foundations & blushes. She has the BEST mineral blushes HANDS DOWN with the most gorgeous shades! :) Her foundations are tailored SPECIFICALLY for asian/warm toned girls so if you've had a hard time trying to find a match in a line, I'd definitely suggest trying hers out! :) She's put ALOT of hard work into formulating shades that work with asian/warm skin tones and it shows! I have a perfect match in her "Grace" category, lucky for me she has the same undertones as me. LOL. :)

Anywho, I wanted to briefly mention this because I haven't done a "find" post in a while. LOL. Plus I'm going to be ordering from her soon. LOL. I'm SERIOUSLY getting a huge haul from her because I plan on buying a couple of blushes, some eye colors, brushes, a full size foundie, & her oil control primer... which is named "Divine" btw. I know, awesome, right? Hahaha. ;) JK!

Oh, I've done looks using some of her products for those of you who are curious. They can be found here: Adorned With Grace Minerals Looks

You can find her online store here: Adorned With Grace

She also has a blog which is FULL of EXTREMELY helpful information regarding most all of her products. So for those of you who are interested, please read her blog. :) You can find it here: Adorned With Grace Blog

In my honest opinion, this is a GREAT find because her foundations are TAILORED to asian skin tones so you'll probably find a match if you're asian or have warm undertones, no joke. Also, her prices are more than reasonable. Her products are extremely affordable & they're not overpriced at all. :P But that's just my two cents. Ha. :P

Haul Video: Shiseido Eyelash Curler & Refill Pads, Muffler Scarf, & NYX's NEW Round Lipgloss

Wednesday, October 8, 2008

For reference, the things I showcased in the video are:
. a no name muffler scarf from a mom & pops fashion store @ west co mall
. the shiseido eyelash curler and shiseido eyelash curler refill pads
. one of NYX's new round lipglosses in the color "Doll Pink"

some notes:
- Yes, the shiseido refill pads DO fit into the Shu eyelash curlers but not PERFECTLY. The refill pads are a teeny bit shorter than the Shu eyelash curler itself, so it's not a perfect fit. But to be honest, it's a close enough fit and it's not TOO bad of a difference. :P Plus the Shiseido refills are only $5.00 for two, not bad if you ask me. LOL. :P

-The NYX Round Lipglosses are just as good as the old NYX Megashine Lipglosses, the only con I can note is that the Round Lipglosses have a cheap perfumey smell to them. Meh. But they're not sticky, they're pigmented, they're not drying, and they come in some really pretty shades. The specific shade I got (Doll Pink) is a bright and pretty color! It's awesome to top off bright lipsticks like MAC's Girl About Town Lipstick or NYX's Black Label Lipstick in Plum. :) By itself without a lipstick it's still pretty pigmented but it's definitely not as "loud" as it is with a bright lipstick under it.

- My muffler scarf is awesome & it's the PERFECT fit for me and my steeze. Hot pink & black?! Oh hells yes. Haha. The bf was with me when I bought it and he was like, "Yeah, I KNEW you'd pick that one." Haha. :P

The End. :)

Weekend Splurge & My Second Pressed Mineral Pigment Palette

Wednesday, October 1, 2008

So what did I decide to splurge on during my little weekend getaway? TWEEZERS! Haha.

Believe it or not I'm the type of person who NEEDS a good pair of tweezers because I have puny eyebrow hairs that are tiny and thin and it takes me FOREVER to pluck my brows because tweezers always seem to have the hardest time grasping onto my brow hairs. Hahaha. So, I figured it was about time to invest in some GOOD tweezers. :) Honestly, I'm glad that I did because these tweezers are a GOD SEND to gals with tiny, short, thin eye brow hairs... NO JOKE!

I ended up buying the Tweezerman Petite Tweezer Set in Pink from Sephora in Victoria Gardens. :) They had a regular silver set but I'm a sucker for pink. Haha. :P They were the same price so I figured what the hey. Ha. :P

Anywho the set comes with TWO pairs of tweezers, one angle head tweezer and one pointed head tweezer. I don't know why they're called "petite" because I honestly don't consider them petite. LOL. They seriously are the size of regular sized tweezers. LOL. *scratches head* The set costs me $25.00 which really isn't bad compared to their "full size" slanted tweezers which cost about the same. o_0 So you're telling me that I can choose between buying ONE regular size tweezer for the SAME PRICE as the "petite" tweezer set which includes TWO tweezers? Oh, and the tweezers aren't even "petite"? LOL. Okay. :)

Here's a close up of the two different tweezer heads.

I also thought that their guarantee was neat! Click on the image below to read the guarantee. :)

So all in all, do these tweezers work up to all of the hype it's given? HELLS YES! LOL. I was floored by how QUICK it took me to pluck my brows and trust me they were CLEEEAAANNNNN. LOVE THEM. I think tweezerman has stolen my heart away. Haha. I'll just use my old drugstore tweezers for applying falsies. ;) Hahaha. :) LOVE LOVE LOVE these tweezers.

On another beauty note, I started a new pressed mineral pigment palette. :) I made a few of my own colors, tried out one recipe from the TKB Trading Recipe Book, & pressed some pigments as is. :) Specific colors are noted accordingly below.

Pretty, huh? Too bad I didn't write down the RECIPES for ANY of the colors that I made! ARGH! And they seriously are really pretty. :( BOOO! I'm going to have to figure it out all over again when I want to refill them. :( Well... at least now I know. Haha. That's still pretty lame though. Ha.

Oh, and if you guys are wondering how my weekend getaway went, it was AWESOME. :) It was definitely needed! :P

I met Jo Koy & Edwin San Juan (they're filipino comedians) because Bri's friend Jen hooked us up since she promotes for Jo Koy. Jo Koy was the headliner that night at the Improv in Brea and we freakn' had dinner with him after the show... at ihop! How awesome is that?! Haha. :D Good stuff. :) He's hella funny btw. Haha. That's just a tiny bit of my weekend but trust, it was awesome. ;) Toodles. :P
